You have to be creative when you can’t go to the gym. Here are some tips for working out at home.

1. Be Creative

Almost anything around your home can be turned into a piece of workout equipment from jugs to bags.

Look around the house and think of what areas of the body you want to work on. See how you put items to use in your exercises.

For example:

  • A backpack: Fill it with items. As you add and remove items you can vary the weight.
  • Large liquid containers: Fill these and they could be used as a kettlebell or a dumbbell.
  • Any sort of ball for sports: Use these as medicine balls to do Russian twists and varying sit-up exercises.

These are only a few ideas that can be done with items that you probably already have sitting around the home. Have fun with some creative problem-solving.
